remote slave to fit stock crossover in passenger drop position

Thought that some of you guys that have to get through California smog might be interested in this. Was going to post in the Ca smog thread but I decided to do it here. Maybe Ill go to that thread and link it.

Remote the slave back exactly 4". Used 3/16" plate to make the remote bracket, drilled the mounting holes for the bracket to mount to the transmission, and then drilled holes to mount the slave.

Took the pushrod in the slave out and cut it in the center, added a 4" piece and tig welded it up making sure to keep it straight. This was we would still have the rounded tips for smoother control. Probably could have just replaced the stock pushrod with a piece of stock exactly 4" longer than stock and working the tips wound with a grinder but this was easier.

Fit absolutely perfect and is solid. I could conceivably leave it like this.

Thought I would post it and maybe it'll help someone keep that 5 speed dream without a lot of work to get through the ref.

Here are some pics.
