Need 1997 4runner Cat and back O2 sensor distance for ref visit!

I am almost ready to have my swap reviewed by the ref here in sacramento and I need one last step. When i took my exhaust in to the shop to have it all welded up (aftermarket cat and muffler) I believe they screwed up and put the cat where it should be for a 1995 runner. I need the distance from the crossover joint to the front of the cat (not the flange before the cat but the actual cat start since mine is aftermarket) and from the crossover joint to the start of the back 02 sensor bung. I posted this question in the 3rd gen section and nobody will reply so I thought my friends here in the swap section could do a quick couple of measurements or tell me where I can find them on the net. I have searched everywhere and can't find them. I don't want to trust the exhaust shop on this one since they screwed up the first time.Anyone on here have the 1997 4runner setup and could spare 5 minutes to send me the dimensions it would help me tremendously to complete this baby.BTW - Thanks Chris for helping me on the wiring for the OBD - Its working great!!Thanks - Jason

Thanks Jason!

Thanks for the information Jason. I am heading to the ref tomorrow for the first visit and hopefully the last! I wish I knew if the guys are tough here in sacramento. Has anyone done the ref visit with the swap at American River?

I did get a TOP from the DMV so I am driving around with a huge smile. Now just need to get it done.

Failed :( Dumb Reason!

So finally made the visit to the ref and failed for two lame reasons. First, don't go with a device plugged into your OBD port. They consider it a mod?? WTF? Whatever, no problem. Just leave it at home.

Second reason - They don't have dimensions for the downstream O2 sensor location. According to the ref it must be within 3" of the back of the cat. Okay well I used the dimension you provided and it is spot on. I went to the dealer to see if they could print out the dimensions and basically I need to make an appointment for them to do anything.

I can't find an offical document anywhere that states the measured dimensions. Maybe even a picture with a measuring tape from the first O2 to the second O2 showing that dimension.

So,, I gues I am just going to have to bite the bullet and move it within 3 inches. I just hope I don't have issues moving the sensor forward.

Anybody know where to find a document or has there 96 to 98 4runner up in the air and could take that picture?? Any toyota techs out there that could track down this info? No luck on TIS.

This is the last step!! Almost stickered!!

Thanks all - Jason

Hmmm. That sucks. The one in the pictures that I posted is 100% stock. I have no idea where you would find a definitive diagram with measurements. I wonder where he got it. I would probably just do it unless Jasond or one of the Toyota factory guys can help you out.
