JDM donor vehicles?

I received my JDM engine a few days ago and I was curious if anyone has seen them installed in their donor vehicles. The reason I ask is there is some crazy heater hose and vacuum routing that doesn't appear to be present on the domestic engines, and I've noticed all the JDM engines I look at lack the cruise control cable bracket and throttle body pulley, mine included. And on that note, does anyone know where to find either of those? I'm struggling to find anything.

I just did one of these, and ended up just pulling the whole thing off and cannibalizing the hoses as I routed my own using a combination of my 95 parts and what the jdm has. I can send pics if needed, but it's all rather tight back there.

I did buy one plastic 90 for one of the outlets from the engine and everything swings driver side.

Yeah it's in now. I've done pretty much the same thing, and bought a few small hose sections from Napa. I don't have all the hoses installed yet, but all the routing has been figured out. Did you find anything to make the throttle body work with cruise control?
I mostly was curious what vehicle this engine might have come out of. The accessory belts and pulleys are also completely different than any "domestic" 3.4L.

Toyota Hi-Ace, a commercial van built on the runner frame. Would love to convert one of those to a camper. It'd be so sick.

As far as cruise control, no. There was no cruise control connector on the throttle body. You'd need to grab a different throttle body to even have a connector. That second connector is for an A/T. I'm not really a Cruise Control sorta guy, so I skipped it. Love your throttle cable routing. I went above the intake, and yours looks like a better path.

Your brake vacuum line should have a connector on the driver side of the plenum if you didn't want to run it all the way across the engine bay FYI. Sick truck all around. can't wait to hear how it runs. I went full ORS harness and new EVAP style & new MAF, so I'm very curious to see how your old EVAP system works out.

Great work, keep plugging away, and if you connect an A/C with the JDM I'd love to know how you do it.

Thanks. I went with the ORS harness as well, I ordered it a month ago and it's still a couple weeks out according to them. They said they're extremely backed up on orders right now. I'll look into a new throttle body, I really enjoyed having cruise control in this truck. My JDM came with the A/C mounting bracket but my truck never had A/C so I removed it.
Here's the build thread if you're interested. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160...y-93-a-311020/

Just over 200 miles on the old EVAP system, routed as the ORS manual instructed. Engine runs great, what can i say? It works!
I do have all the 5VZ vsv's, and the pressure switch, but they're routed into the 3VZ canister. I never took any pictures of that.
