EVAP questions
So got the 3.4 to start first bump of the key only ran for about 5 seconds but good to hear it run.
So my question is on the 3.0 were the charcoal canister used to be there are 2 hard lines that go back to the fuel tank. One on the right and one on the left side looking at the firewall, anybody know what those are? I presume that one is fuel return and the other is a breather.
Okay so now the confusion for me is is according to Evolta I have 2 lines on my EVAP I need to hook up one being a breather and the other fuel return. I am using the 3.4 Evap.
Now there is also a hard line off the motor itself that is a fuel return which I learned because when my truck ran for the brief moment that it did it spayed fuel everywhere.
My original understanding of hooking up the rest of the Evap was to take the 2 lines off the Evap and hook them up to the 2 lines on my vehicle, but now I have this line off of my motor which now I think should go to one of the hard lines on my vehicle but then what happens with the extra line of my Evap?
If this matters it is a 2000 3.4 fed out of a 4runner
Any insight would be great
Thanks Blaine

the return tube that comes off the plenum goes to the hard line more on the fire wall, and the breather tube from the evap goes to the hard line mounted to your fender well.
have fun with that 3.4 man!

to clarify for you on the EVAP:
on the far left is the fuel breather. Its hard to see as its shiny black and blends in with the brake vacuum assist that it is laying over.
On the right there are two. the one goes to the air intake box off that little auxiliary can coming off the large air tube.
the short one on the FAR right just sits there looking stupid as far as I know. Im still looking into that one as I just finished my swap.
the fuel return, as you discovered, comes off the plenum.
hope she runs like a dream.
