89 4runner 3.4/5speed

Hello,I did a 3.4 swap and have an issue with my clutch. First off I had a 3.slow and an auto trans. Swapped to a 3.4 w/ 5spd trans. I got all the correct parts to do the clutch system . The issue that I am having is when i let the clutch pedal out the trans makes a chattering sound, press clutch in ,it. gos away. After awhile driving clutch feels like it slips alittle and chattering gos away. Kind lost right now? Swapped clutch slave and main, mo difference. Is there an adjustment on the pedal assembly ? Thanks , Aaron.

When you say correct parts for clutch which ones did you buy? If using the 3.4 flywheel you stilll have to use the 3.0 throwout bearing if your using a bellhousing from a 3.0 motor.

Just to clarify, did you install the 5-speed transmission that was originally mated to a 3.4 or a 3.0? The input shaft and bellhousings between the 2 are different which is why they have different throw-out bearings, and the throw-out bearing must match the transmission.

More for curiosity, what are you doing for a transfer case?
