also, i am going to have this truck at the exhaust shop by 9 o'clock tomorrow morning, so what size exhaust should i go with? will it still use the stock collector or will a new one have to be made? also, i do not want this truck to be loud at all, but i also do not want to restrict it. let me know guys, fill me in!

truck is at the exhaust shop. and i had some spark plug wires crossed. now, the engine is smooth and no longer back fires! but i was not able to get my cutout so i will put that in later. the truck sounds pretty legit for a v6 with no exhaust, and is very loud in the cab when driving it with no exhaust haha.

yeah i still had a wire crossed. runs sooo much smoother now! i still have to get my second o2 sensor, and am waiting on the arival of my o2 sensor simulator from urd.

my newest question is that of the a/c. i have a buddy who did this swap in his 88 runner and he had to get some module or something from the dash of the donor vehicle to make his compressor engage. will i have to get this?

oh hehe. Um, there are 2 wires that go to the new ecu, where the old had 3. You don't need the new A/C amplifier. That is the module you are talking about. You can use your original. I don't have your AC EWD so I can't tell you what wires.

also, i don't know if this swap could have anything to do with my windshield wipers, but now they don't turn off. they still interval and speed up but don't turn off unless i pull the fuse. I'm hoping that i don't have to change the switch in the column!

I used the a/c amp from the doner. Works fine for me. Pull the wiper switch out and take it apart. You may be able to fix it, or just swap it. It sounds like its the problem.

Hey toyotanick, Glad you finally got it running. I just have a quick question, Dou you know if the earlier tps is different than later ones? I only ask because you mentioned something about a "four wire harness". Currently, i cannot get spark on my 3.4 and i think it might be because i dont have the tps hooked up, of course cuz my tps has a three wire plug and my harness has four wires

hmm. im not sure if there is a year difference because toyonlyswaps sent me a tps and didnt tell me the year and it works. all i know is that a 4wire is a tacoma and a 3 wire is a 4runner.

i suggest you give them a call. everyone else will tell you the same thing, that they are very nice and helpful and new exactly what i was talking about before i finished my sentence haha. toyonlyswaps.com they are located in oregon and they got my throttle body to me in i think 2 or 3 days, and that was with the corresponding tps that was already adjusted.

ok, heater does work. i think what i did was turn the heater in before it actually warmed up so there was no way that the air could have been warm yet haha. but i still cannot find the a/c ewd to figure out how to get my a/c to work again. if anyone could lend me another helping hand it would be greatly apppreciated.

also, is anyone selling a drive shaft that would work on my truck? 5" trail gear sas...

i feel like a moron. my electric fan is on ignition and i have a switch to turn it on or off when i need to. well i forgot to turn it on today and well, my radiator blew up and the truck died. after sitting there a few seconds in awe and just scared that i may have destroyed my newly rebuilt engine i started it back up and moved it where i needed to let it rest.

i guess my question is what would be the best replacement for my truck? should i go back with the 3.0 radiator or the 3.4 tacoma radiator? is an electric fan for a tacoma radiator cheaper so that maybe i an have a thermostat built in the the fan so that i dont have to turn the fan off when i am just listening to music via my truck.

well, what do you guys reccomend?
