3.4 swap electrical and parts
Im currently swaping a 3.4 instead of the 3.0. Can someone tell me the part number for the lower radiator hose? And i couldnt fine a manual transmission ecm and engine harness. So after reading some posts about using an auto ecm and harness was possible, I decided to take that route.
How difficult is it? Has anyone done that before?

The only place I could find locally with a lower was Autozone. Their number for this hose is c71765. It is available at other part houses under different numbers. Listed as an upper for a 97 Dodge Neon. Cut about an inch off of one end and it should fit perfectly.

For the ECM it could be simple. Late years might be more difficult but early years are reletively easy. The engine will run just fine with out a trans connected but it will throw codes. There isn't a dirrect line that tells the ecu its in park neutral or drive. Only third second and first. That means the ECU can essentially always in gear and wont give any different fuel maps. To trick it out of codes there is a 3 wire connector at the transmission that controls the solenoids. Wire a resistor between 10 to 15 ohmson each of these wires. One end of the resistor connected to the wire the other end connected to ground. That should clear any circuit codes that will set. If you ever find a manual ecu you can use the auto harness but may need to re pin depending on years
