Thumbs down 3.4 swap in action. I gotz issues though

Alright I got a 3.4 swap underway. Motor is from a 2002 4x4 auto taco. Going into a 91 4x4 manual pickup. Well the old 3.0 is out n im waiting on a few parts for the donor motor to get in. I stripped the heads off to add studs and new seals all the way around. So when it goes in it'll be nice and shiny and have lots of new parts. I did pickup a Manual ecu off carpart.com I got the same year knowing the plugs were the same. I was laying out the harness today to notice that there are no e5 and e6 connectors off the motor and no plug that extends to the the 2nd o2 sensor. I did however find these plugs on the body harness that i happened to grab when i got the motor. Has anyone else round here done a swap with the 2000-04 motors and ecus looks like they were the ones with 2 o2 sensor cat systems. Also it really looks like i got a lof of extra plugs on my engine harness. lol will I really need em all still with out the auto? the fact the diagrams for auto and manual are the same is really messing with my head. Be on the look out for other posts I think this swap may drive me mad.

The EWD is the same for A/T or M/T the wires that are different between the two are labeled as such. I thought that the plugs for a auto ECU were a totally different shape than the M/T ECU. I think on your EWD the manual ECU plugs are labeled A-D and the auto ECU plugs are E-H.

Well I got my ecu off car-part.com so unless the computer was lying to me. unfortunatly the stickers were removed from the box but the plugs are all the same. on the ewd the wiring is labeled if its for auto or for manual. its just removing all those auto wires that are already there. also the wires for the O2 are connected to the 2002 body harness which im so glad I grabbed.

Maybe they changed the plug set up later on, because my 3.4 setup was from a 96 which I am sure had diffrent ECU plugs for auto and M/T. That or I am just wrong which is very possible.

I am in the middle of doing my wiring pin out diagrams for my 2001 manual to a 93 manual. But I have about 3 or 4 extra connectors trying to figure out where they go. I have those diagrams if you ever need. Don't know if they are the same but they may be close. Extra help is always nice. As for the E5 and E6 connectors those are very important and I had to find anothr donor truck to pull those from. You may also want the OBDII connector to plug a scanner into. There are some differences between the autos and manuals. But I have noticed this seems to vary from early 3.4s to late 3.4s.
