I'm just starting swapping a 99 4Runner 3.4 into my 95 4Runner. I pulled the 3.0 radiator today and am amazed at just how much smaller it is compared to the 3.4!

Anyone use the radiator and AC condenser from the 3.4 donor vehicle?

 

If it would have fit I would have run it. No way though in my 88. The fan was bigger than my radiator.

Does it look like it would fit?

 

3.4 fan/radiator do not fit. You can use the 3.4 fan clutch though.

 

The 3.0 radiator will work fine. My son has been driving his for the last 2 1/2 years - no problems.

 

I'm running the 3.0 radiator as well. Once I got the deposits cleared out of it I have not had a problem with the radiator as well.

 

I even run without the shroud on in 105* temps and no problems whatsoever.

 

Great info guys. Side by side, there's a tremedous size difference thus my concern. Off to get the 3.0 radiator cleaned.............
