does a 3.4/5spd combo use a motor plate? i bolted mine up last night and there is nothing to bolt the bottom trans bolts to. trying to figure out exactly what im missing.

 

not sure exactly what you mean but on the 3.0/5speed setup there are brackets and come off the motor for the bottom of the the tran to bolt to. Maybe that is what you mean?

I dont think that I have a picture of them, but I am sure someone here does.

im guessing that is what i dont have. all i know is there is nothing to bolt the trans to down by the oil pan. i have tried looking for pics but havent seen anything.

 

That is the same as mine. Apparently I do not have anything for it to attach to. The blank metal piece used to cover up the bottom of the trans and keep dirt out doesn't attach to anything. Perhaps I am missing something off the 3.4? The metal piece fits perfectly but doesn't bolt to anything. I can take pictures tonight if needed.

 

yeah it's a dust/dirt cover. I need that too for my engine. I won't be driving in the mud anytime soon. Especially in San Diego. =)

 

Anyone have a 3.4 exhaust flange they want to sell? i only have one.
