Question 2nd Gen 3.4 Leak

So I finally got the 3.4 on the road and it was glorious!
I took it around the block, to the store to get a celebratory sixer , and went back to the house for a total of a solid 6 mile drive.
When I came back to check on it, there was a puddle about the size of a dollar bill of the synthetic oil which had dripped from the bottom
of the mating of the bell housing and the crank case. I am guessing it is a rear main seal and I have already started to drop the tranny.

Before I get too hasty with this, I am wondering if anyone has experienced this leak early on.
Could there be a break-in period for the RMS that eventually fixes itself. Haha I am trying to stay optimistic here.

No leaks that big are gonna work themselves out. Replaced that rear main yet?

Wow I really dropped the ball on this one.
Any ways I replaced the RMS, but I still have a leak that I am going to have to live with...
A little tip for the 3.4 swappers: Take the crossover pipe off before dropping the tranny! Mine would hang up on it.
It is also easier to guide the input shaft of the tranny back in if you keep the cross member on the tranny and have it slide on the frame so you know you have the proper angle in relation to the fly wheel
