22re to 3.4 .......use same mounts??

The only 22re based Runner I've swapped, we cut some 3.0 mounts out of a another Runner we had and welded them in.

I don't have that option this time since I don't have a spare 3.0 frame sitting around.

Looking at the 22re mounts on the frame, they look similar but not sure if their angles are right. I don't have a 3.0 setup around to compare or measure.

I know they'd have to get cut out and moved back about 4" it appears.

What have you guys done that came from a 22re? No way I'm spending hundreds on some aftermarket mounts just FYI.

Cut the mount pads off the 3.4 frame. Just notch them the same way you would the 3.0 ones... Not quite sure about the 22re frame pads as I would just toss them after cutting them off.

I would do that but I JUST bought brand new toyota rubber mounts for the 3.0 mounts and they don't appear to be the same from3.0 to 3.4.

Got them from toyota of Dallas and by the time I ship them back to return them, I wont be worth it.

Don't want to eat them.

I used the 22r mounts.

They will have to be cut down or shortened for the 3.4.

I put the engine and transmission in to locate and get the height or driveshaft angle where i liked it.

The mounts were fit, bolted on then tack welded in place before removing the engine and welding them out. This put my engine closer to the firewall than others I have seen, but I did my exhaust crossover underneath.
the original 3.4 rubber mounts were used.
the stock transfer case is in the stock location on my truck.

Pretty much what I'm planning to do. Just curious what others have done.

One of the sticky threads deals with that.

I just bought the weld on parts from Toyota they were not that expensive.

Fabbed my own and used the 3.4 mounts. Could probably had done the same for the 3.0 mounts. I just used what I had.
