2003 5vz

Found a 2003 manual 5vz, with complete harness and computer... other than it is fly by wire is their any reason that it can't be used. Or would I be better served to ditch the harness for an older one that isnt fly by wire...

Any takers,

I have read on the board that the fly by wire is troublesome any truth to this? (per Mt. Goat)

I picked up a 2003 5vz throttle by wire and ecu supposed to be a manual (however I have been told that only autos had throttle by wire)... Not sure on either account

Any help is greatly appreciated...

I've heard that fly-by-wire ties into the auto tranny a little differently, which wouldn't be a problem in your case though.

Nice motor, looks very complete

Alright going to get rid of the 2003 harness and ecu in favor of an older one.
