2 ecu's in one swap...

Hey I am doing a 3.4 swap with a jdm engine into a 93 4runner auto.... I know i am In for a world of hurt with this because I am building my own engine harness and it's a jdm but i couldn't find a donor rig at a reasonable price. My thought was to use the 3.4 ecu for just the operation of the engine and then use the 3vz ecu for the transmission and 4wd.... dumb?

I would like to know from other experienced swappers is what have you left unconnected or fooled as an input/output.
Also any issues with different tps. maf. and igniters from different years or models working with the ecu?

This is my first non carb engine swap... but I am comfortable with electronics and wiring.

Yes. Dumb. You need to spend some time reading these swap threads. It's been done and documented plenty of times. You already know you made a mistake not buying a complete doner. You're going to spend $$$ buying matching parts, not to mention time getting/finding them. Keep reading!
