Where do you get those manuals?

Anyone know a good place to get a Chilton or Haynes for an 02 Tacoma?
Is one better than the other or do they both have the same amount of info?

Thanks!

They're usually pretty comparable. It's kinda pot-luck - some manuals are better from one, some from the other.

My Haynes seems to br pretty good.

Most auto parts stores carry one or the other or both. Again it's pot-luck as far as stocking but it's a popular manual you're talking about so they'll have it unless they ran out. My Checker was out of it, so I cruised over to Pep Boys. $14 or $15 IIRC. I believe AutoZone and Advance carry them as well around here.

Peter,

Break the piggy bank and just by the Toyota manuals. I have the Haynes and bought the crappy cd-roms from ebay and trust me, they dont even hold a candle to the factory manuals.

I bought mine off another member on ODW. Or try ebay---you might find them there once in awhile. If you see someone selling the manuals on ebay but they dont have your year, just email them privately and ask them if they can find it and make an off-auction deal.

Bob:
Thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure what to expect from those manuals - never seem to have mine whenever I walk into any shop.

Cebby:
Thanks for the # - I was wondering for about 5 seconds after reading Bob's post where to find that manual.

Thanks guys!
I knew I could count on you fellas

My local library has almost every Chilton's ever written. Then again I feel you get what you pay for, Chilton's suck. Haynes is good but not great. I got mine for around $18 at Autozone. It gets a lot of use.

I've seen FSMs on ebay for my truck for around $20. I was just too lazy to sign up and try to bid and all that crap.
