I'm not sure line rupture is a big risk - I was under the impression that the oil system really isn't HIGH pessure - nothing like hydraulic lines. I was mainly concerned abut punctures from stones / debris in the wheel well. and of course easier to get to / cleaner change...

 

I just changed my oil yesterday . .. I use to use castro gtx but this is the first time I switched to mobil synthetic for high mileage vehicles. I put in a k&n airfilter with the change, but the car seems to idle a lil rougher. My friend says im crazy or just paranoid, but i notice things like that. I dunno why it's like that tho, does the car just need to adjust to the new type of oil???
