problems with power steering

My 1991 4-runner ha s just recently started having problems with a major leaking of power steering fluid. Not sure what the problem could be or the best way to find the leak. Anyone ever had this problem???

I have an 89 v6 4wd 5spd with 184K miles. Mine was leaking a little bit of ps fluid, I had it double checked by two different mechanics and both stated the pump was leaking. Before I took it, I noticed a lot build up of some fluid aroud the PS pump and directly below it. I assumed it was the PS Pump and also read here and another Toyota Message board that the Power Steering in certain Toyota Trucks is an issue. Mine wasn't leaking very bad, I only saw PS fluid on the ground maybe once a week at most. I'm still a noob, but my guess is it could be your PS Pump (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and if it is you have several options to correct the situation.

Is it leaking on the drivers side or passenger side? My power steering gear box is starting to leak. From what I've been able to find so far it's a common thing for older 4Runners.
