Power Steering Pump replacement.

Any advice on installing a new powersteering pump. I've got the new one in already, just haven't found time or resources to do it.

This is a pic of the old one. Notice the leaks! The steering wheel hums when I turn it, though no real resistence yet.

I ordered it from Jay Mark Toyota. I believe it was about $275 or so.

More than I wanted to pay, but cheaper than a new car payment.

I had to replace mine pump and Steering gear this weekend. The only think that I can tell you is that it was some what easy, and be sure to not get any dirt in to the fluid on lines. It will blow out your seals. you think it's leaking now, what till the seal go! Good Luck! I'm glad to more people turning wrench!

remove pulley from old pump
install pulley on new pump
reinstall belt, tighten
fill resevoir with fluid
start engine, re-fill while running
