I had my truck detailed with Griot's yesterday and that stuff does wonders. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

If anybody local (and lazy like me) wants to get this done the guy is chaging $135 for a total detail.

Raised white letters. It might just be the pic, but they don't look white at all, they look brown. Try some Westley's Tire Brite on them after you've scrubbed all that tire shine goop off with some AJAX and then re goop them.

Everything else looks stellar! A+ for Griots.

actually... a nice smooth rock on that white will work too.
Takes a bit of elbow grease. I was amazed when I tried it because I didn't expect it to work. It kind of works under the same principle as a rubber eraser - except instead of rubbing the rubber on the surface, you're rubbing the surface on the rubber.

Works awesome if you're committed to it

Oh yeah...
and the truck looks AWESOME! That paint is in pretty sweet condition

Peter, you been sitting in the garage again with the engine running? That is the craziest thing I've ever heard. I can see my neighbors now...

"Yes dear, I saw him rubbing his tires with smooth rocks and swearing!"

That's why I have the BLACK out!

I love late 80s early 90s Toy pick-ups! And yours looks good, even for a RED one. FYI: I hate red.

That's why you gotta use a small rock
I was really skeptical too but hey, it worked for me about 15K ago... haven't done it since then. Too lazy

I cant tell from the picture...but do you have an electric preasure washer?? Ive been debating getting one instead of saving for a gas one...Is it powerful enough to clean house, driveway, and cars (i assume cars at the least)?

I've always loved white letters out. I wasn't too impressed with the tires either. Here's what he had to say when some people asked him about it.
sorry about the white walls guys, forgot about my tool so couldnt' clean that up today I'll be sure to have it cleaned up next time when i work on the next detail
I usually keep them a little cleaner. I'm not to big on the shinny tire thing so this weekend I might scrub the tires with my brush and get the white showing again.

I'm not sure what kind of pressure washer it is, I payed someone to do the detail.
Thanks for all the compliments guy. This truck was my dream truck all through high school, even if it is red. Now I just have to get my lift kit on.

That's one clean truck! I like it. It makes me wonder how my 4Runner would look clean... The only thing I've used a pressure washer on in a long time was my underbody to get mud and stuff off of it.

Everything except shampooing the carpets and cleaning the engine bay. I'll PM you the info when I get home. It will be hard for me to take mine out now though.

Cool, thanks. Yeah I've wanted to get mine done for a while but I love puddles so I understand.

Thanks for the info Jesse. We are going to try and work something out for a week from wednesday. Now I just have to put my top back on. So long summer, so long top off kind of weather.

No problem. I think the before and after pictures are going to be more drastic with yours. Just watch out for those puddles afterwords.

More then likely I'm going to be out there but I'm going to ride shotgun in someone else's truck so I don't get my shiny parking lot princess all scratched up.
