How do you adjust the TPS unit or know if it's properly adjusted. The truck runs pretty well with it disconected but idles higher and seems to pull rather weak no matter where we adjust the timing....... Can I hurt something by running without the sensor hooked up till I can fix the problem??? Please let me know and thanks again for the time....... TIM

Basically the TPS tells the computer when the throttle is at idle and when it is at wide open.

If yours runs without it hooked up then yes it will run without it hooked up but the computer will have no clue what is happening with the throttle.

Check out Mr. Browns site here for the answers to your questions about the TPS. He knows all
