fuel filter and torque wrench

fuel filter and torque wrench
for those of you who've changed your fuel filter, did you use a torque to tighten to the suggested 22 ftlbs in the chilton blook, or did you wing it?
also do you have to prime the filter with fuel before installing? nothing is mentioned regarding this in the chilton manual.

What kind of truck, what year, and which engine?
If it's a 2nd gen 4runner with V6, then no, there's no way of getting a torque wrench in there. I didn't prime mine.

I just winged it (or is it "wung" it?
) when I changed mine. I don't know how you'd get a torque wrench on there either. From what I remember, you can't use a socket, just open-end wrenches...unless you mean actually putting a torque wrench on the end of the filter. But still, that would only work for one end.

that's what i was thinking
i'd never heard of a torque wrench that was a true "wrench" only ratchet style.
