Fuel Filter Help

Somebody help me out...i searched and i cant find a post showing wehre the 1st gen fuel filter is. I followed the lines as far as i can see, but still no luck. And it doesnt help that the owners manual or the Chilton book dont show a picture. Is it underneath the intake manifold? somewehre I cant see it easily? I've never changed it before.....i dont think my dad did either, so its well overdue for a change.

Passenger side wheel well, remove wheel well liner and access panel, find oil filter and starter. Go about midway between the two and up a few inches and there it it. See picture below, next to the #3 cylinder:
