Blown Ball Joints

Greetings!

I ran the Naches yesterday and it looks like I blew my upper ball joints. I have grease oozing on both sides! Have any of you replaced your ball joints before? I am wondering if this is something I should do myself or should I take it to my favorite dealer?

Thoughts?

Gene

Sorry Gene I don't have the answer here.
Did you run the whole length of it where it exits out here?

There are a few spots in there where you get off camber quite a bit.
Do you think that is how it happened?

Well, I think that with nearly 60k on the vehicle, and having been through a couple of lifts, I think the Naches was just the final straw. It would have happened sooner or later.

Doxon tells me it could cost anywhere from $200.00 to $250.00. No too bad. I'm still going to look into doing the repair myself. I understand I would have to purchase a special tool from Toyota as well as the parts. I dunno. I'm about due for my 60k service and may just have them do it then. I need to find as many things wrong as possible because my warranty is about to expire!
