92 4runner 4wd auto tranny issues
so i picked up a 92 4 runner with 101k on the clock 4wd, auto v6 yesterday. test drove it and it ran fine. after picking it up i drive for about 2 hours to my dads house to pick up some parts to move around, and about 10 min from his house the tranny starts shifting from o/d to 3rd and back, as well as slipping like a mofo. the fluid level is fine so im pretty sure my tranny is just about to start taking a dump.
ive never had an auto vehicle before but im looking for advise on what to do. i will also be towing a racecar occasionally with it so im wondering if theres any advise yall would have as im a total n00b to towing stuff/auto trannys.
thanks.
btw,this smiley is teh win

Pretty much everything I know about these transmissions I started learning right here .
Based on what I have seen and heard, a properly rebuilt 2nd gen Auto costs about $3,000 installed.
These guys http://www.importperformancetrans.com/toyotaauto.shtml get mentioned quite a lot when it comes to quality rebuilds and the like

what do i look for if i try to find one at a junkyard? / what all will bolt up/swap?
can you swap entire motorsets out of otehr tundras/4runners/etc?
total n00b to 4 runners here but i know how to work on cars and stuff , i just dont know a lot about whats all interchangable on these.
ill also be using this to tow, any advise on that?
