I have a 90' pickup reg cab, 3.0 5spd. I bought the truck about 5 months ago, and it ran fine. Now it uses oil like crazy, and the motor shakes like im running water through it. I am going to retire it from my daily driver and will only use it to pull a boat 15miles at the most. I have never done a motor swap and have always wanted to, i figured now would be the best time to look into it. Id rather not put another 3vze back in it..i dont care much for them.

Ive been doing research on different motor swaps and I cant decide. Im thinking putting a carbd 22r in it, but i dont know the good and bad to this, because everyone is putting v6's in the I4 trucks. Ive also found out the 3.4 are kind of simple. I would love to do a diesel swap if i could get a decent price on a motor, but im just throwing out ideas. Let me know what you think would be the best.
