alrighty. I gots me a 1990 4runner with green flames along the sides i thought those made it indestructible...I was wrong i killed my 22re by blowing mr head gasket and continueing to drive when it was lacking 99-100% of its coolent AKA water........dont look at me like that! haha anyway i have been swapping a 22re out of a 1987 pickup there the same right????? the guy at the dealer ship said that there like 95% identical other then some differnet shaped intake ports or somethin along them lines. ok so the swap has been going on for a while because im lazy and i broke somethings.....EGR, fuel filter, clutch......., and lost some things.......Vac lines, FUEL lines (which are kinda important) and my starter fell and blew up which sucked alot. anyway my question is could anyone provide me some pics of there 22re while there in the engine bays??? i kinda forgot how things look when there in the right places. mainly in the top passenger side by the fire wall there is a fuel type thingy which says TO TANK, and PURGE. i have lost both of those lines nad kinda need to know there they go so if anyone knows could they please PLEASE tell me/show me where.....please ive been without my 4runner for 2.5 months!!! im going threw withdrawl!!!!!

the to tank and purge is the carbon canister/aka charcoal canister. ONe line goes to the vacuum ports on the throttle body that has a p stamped next to it. The to tank line goes to the gas tank vent. There should be s teel line that sticks up on the passengers side firewall next to the canister that you hook that hose to.

would anything happen if the lines on th charcoal canister were reversed? because i got everything hooked up but it wont start my friend says its th lack of the EGR but i dont think thats it. im missing one of the lines on the charcoal canister i dont know if that will affect anything as long as the vacuum line is on right?
