throw a turbo charged cummins 4BT in there, turn up the fuel pump, some 100 hp injectors and hang on.

 

I flip flopped on this for months, but I finally bought a complete '95 LS400 1UZ swap this week, for a ridiculous price.

A 1KZ is $8000 for the clip. A lowly Honda B18 swap is $2000. I got a 1UZ, with all accessories, and ECU and transmission for $1680 shipped! God I love how everything Toyota is low demand and cheap, save for 2JZs and 3SGTEs!

I figure I can have the entire thing up and running, with harness, custom headers/exhaust and new parts to freshen up the engine for $5000. Sell my 5VZ and old trans on for about $1000 and it's not too bad of a deal.
