can i put a 94 toyota engine and transmisson in a 86 toyota truck.

 

sure but you may run into differences with plugs. and you might need the ECU from the 94

 

This is if both engines are the same !!

Going from a Auto to manual has some more issues

You will need every thing to the 94 engine .

All the electrical and ECU then your going to need to wire the fourth ECU plug

The main issue is the injectors they are different between those years

The other option is to strip the 94 engine down to the bare long block and install all the 86 electrical parts onto that engine

Both options are work just what ever is easier for you .
