will toyota engines from sedans,fit/bolt into a truck? if so what would fit into an 86 toyota 4x4.Thanks for any info.

I bought a 22r with a 20r head.timing chain was too long,jumped time after I started it, did not damage the valves or pistons,will have to get or have shorter chain.My other problem is the tappets are at the end of the threads when adjusting the valve lash.I've read any valve train should work ? How do I solve the tappet problem, longer tappets ?I was told it has a rv cam installed. Thanks for any help !
