'88 4Runner blown 3VZE options

Hey guys... I have a 1988 4Runner orig 3VZE auto trans 4x4 with blown motor (hole in block) and auto trans was acting up a little before the engine blew. What is my best option for engine/trans replacement. 3VZE + auto trans are almost extinct on JDM sites, so I am thinking a 3.4 swap. I am a little intimidated by the process and thinking of trying to find a local shop to do the job. Any recommendations for a shop in the SouthEast close to the FL Panhandle that might specialize in this type of thing? Any other thoughts or recommendations? Thank you in advance!

She's been sitting in this garage for 12yrs. Hosed the dust off on Saturday and got motivated...

Perfect candidate for a 3.4 swap. Lots of good info out there.

Either have the 3.0 repaired, or 3.4 swap. By far the simplest option.
