3VZE??? Deal or “NO” Deal ???

Anyone every bought from http://www.toyotacarpart.com?? I’ve found a long block for a deal, $1500.00 for a 3VZE. Even called them and it seems legit. The long block comes with everything except VC, manifolds, cam gears, oil pan, etc…. everything internal is install and torque to specs…. All I need to do is add the external parts from my motor and set timing..(OR) Is it too good to be true…. Any thoughts on this deal…

Seems that by the time you redo the heads and cams(machine work and parts to rebuild) and everything else your going to be right in the $2500-$3000 range.
For that you can do the 3.4 (not that I am pushing it) but you can get so much more out of the 3.4 power and fuel mileage wise that it might be worth looking into.

I dont think this setup will cost that much. Since we are just going OEM with no mods..I've research into a 3.4 setup as well. But after research and research, I dont really want to deal with Cali Smog Regulations and so forth. I've deal with that so many times with Hondas / Acuras, I dont want to add Toyota to the list. Like I mention this long block comes complete with everything and all I need to install is just the basic exterior parts of the engine. This will cost me no more than 1500.00 + shipping + 200.00 (misc parts)... And, It will make room for a suspension lift, new pro-comp wheels, 35x12.5 tires, and 5.29 US Gears.. Thats why I'm more leaning on the 3.0 setup than the 3.4.. Thanks for the suggestion... I was actually going for the site I have listed. I've also seen in listed here on yota tech a few times. can anyone input???
