3.sl0w v6 conversion to a buick v6

Hey everyone,

this is my first post here WOOT! I run a 1990 3.0 4x4 and like many other ppl i have head problems w/ it, mainly the gaskets get blown easily cause of the cast iron block and the aluminum heads. I just got done rebuilding it, and low and behold im attached to my yota, so i am exploring the option of doing a nice little swap. Now im not looking for MOAR horsepower and speed, i want reliability and consistency with my engine w/out many mods to the body, firewall ect ect as u would w/ a sbc or another bigger v8. So i have picked a Buick v6 engine, i havent picked a specific engine model, but i would like to see if anyone else has done this swap and the difficulty of it. If i need to mod my transmission or anything else on my truck. THNX

It is easier to do a 4.3 swap than a Buick. Which Buick V6, the RWD or FWD?

Yes you can. Search here and search Pirate4x4. RWD and FWD are not interchangeable and the bell housings are different. The FWD is the ones with the most power anyways. Do a Chevy 4.3 and be done with it.
