3.4 or 22r

i have a 89 toy 4runner with a 3.0 already tosted one and put a newer uesed 3.0 i got cheep but this one is craping out to and dont no what i should swap 3.4 or a 22r i dont have alot to spend on this have thought of selling rig for one with 22r but i have to much invested

3.4!!! to my understanding the motor mounts are the same for the 3.0 and the 3.4 just got to get the wireing right and the ecu for the truck.

yup and it bolts right to the v6 trans. 4 cyl to my knowledge doesn't.

find a complete donor and get all the parts from one rig.

Read the 3.4 swap section here several times and take notes.

from what I have read, the 22r is rather inexpensive. and can be built to be pounded for hours and day after day on the trails if built right. it seems that the 22r/re is more reliable and u wont have to replace it as often... this ive read in the other threads (so only my support on their opinion)
I think if u already have the 3.0 then either go 3.0 or 3.4.
Ur already set up for it basically.
But there are yoters that have gone from 3.0 to 22r/re
