1uz in a 96 taco. Few questions
My 3.4l tacoma is still running strong at 260k but its time to upgrade for more power. The 1uz seems to fit my needs. Future plans for the truck are to convert from 4wd to 2wd L/T.
I have found a few threads but they have not addressed what I need
So my questions are:
I have found a few threads but they have not addressed what I need
So my questions are:
- Since i'm converting to 2wd I dont need my t-case. Will the DS bolt up to the lexus tranny?
- Does anybody know of where I could buy motor mounts? I can fab them but i'd rather not.
- Will the stock fuel pump be able to keep up?
- What would be an estimate on completion time from puling the 3.4 to 1uz running? (if everything goes right)

Wiring is easy look at my thread!
The driveshaft will have to be modified! You can buy mounts but at $300 making your own would be better. You can not use the stock pump. I am going to run a walbro 255 in the tank. Time depends on how good you are at fabricating the mounts the exhaust and completing the wiring!
