New to posting, have looked and looked for somewhat of a solid answer but have yet to find one. If someone could help me out or point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

I have a 93 4x4 with the 3.slow auto
And my head gasket took a crap. With all the cons i hear about this engine i wanna do a swap.

I was thinkin 22r or a v8. 350 or 289 something along those lines. A want a carb.

Is there anything that would mate to my tranny? If not what would work/fit in my truck.

Sorry if im beating a dead horse, like i said if anybody could give some words of wisdom or point me in the right direction i would appreciate it. Thanks!
