Why not front spring's shackles in the front?

I'm designing my SAS now on my '86 4R (85 axle and 44044 springs) and I'm considering putting the spring shackles on the front end of the springs.

I've only seen one 'Yota SAS that had the front spring's shackles on the front (like, under the bumper). I forgot who's it was; it is in a great build-up write-up website.

Anyhow, this I believe that this configuration has the advantage of separating the driveshaft less (which is why many other manufactures built their trucks that way) and the disadvantage of riding rougher. It seems to me that as well, as the suspension compresses, the tire would move forward and not hit the back of the fenderwell/cab floor, which could make it worth doing.

I'm interested to know if anyone else has tried this and what there experience was with it.

Regards. Generz.

Thanks Dirtoyboy, I didn't know what terminology to google to find info.

Edit, here is a good example of a SAS with front shackles...
