Steer axle for rear on 1987 4Runner?

I'm looking to do a rear steer conversion on my 87 4runner. I would like to stay with Toyota gear, does anyone have any info on this? I would like to to see the difference in building myself vs. something already built, any info on this would be great, thanks.

Using a Jeep would be a much better idea !!

Just how many thousands of dollars or your local currency do you have in the budget ??

With the new hydraulics and electronics on the market the only real issue will be cost

Just deciding just how you want to control every thing will be the fun part.

Will be enteresting but see loads of challenges to overcome. As I understand it driving with rear steer is an art in itself.

Guess it all all depends on your fab skills and/or bank account.

Chevy Silverados had rear steer for a few years. The track is much wider but you have the advantage of it already being engineered for rear steer, centered differential, and having the correct wheel bolt pattern. Look up Chevy Quadrasteer. You could also use a factory solid front axle in the back but the differential is offset. What are your goals with this? Rock buggy with rear steer for trail only use? If you want to drive this on the street I sure hope I don't ever drive around your truck. Seems like a bad idea with no practical benefit.
