SAS in stock location..

SAS Question
Been gathering up parts for my SAS and am hesitant on which springs to run. Overall goal is to keep it around 4" lift max. I'd like to run my 33's still. So I would like to keep it closer to stock location so I was thinking some 2" HD front springs, this would keep it closer to stock location than running rears up front, right? Also if able to keep it closer to stock; how will that affect my steering box and hi-steer? Will I still have to mount it forward or can I get away with leaving it how it is? Any help would be great!!

Ideally you want to move the steering box to make room for the high steer but if you want to sit your axle back far enough you shouldn't have to move it. Usually you want to move the axle forward for a better approach angle and in case you want to move up a tire size. I think 33" is as big as you can stuff without moving the axle forward or cutting the inner wheel well.
Suspension height doesn't only depend on your springs, it depends on how high or low you build/mount your spring hanger as well. For a mild lift, RUF will work.

Old Man EMU....
I used my stock shackles in front w/ old man emu springs. I didn't relocate my box nor did i change/or upgrade it.
Look up great white SAS in the search and it will help you tremendously.
Or... here is mine:
