Newbie here. Solid axle spartan locker installation?
Hi all. Great site loaded with useful info. I just purchased a cherry 1984 etracab 4x4 with 96k miles and have begun to fix it up to make it more capable. I just bought two spartan lockers and am going to install the front first. I have been all over the site looking for a tutorial on anything related to either changing out gears or installing a locker on the 8 inch solid front axle but haven't found anything. I have a feeling that a tutorial exists either here or elsewhere on another site. Can anyone direct me or steer me in the right direction, please? I'm sure that I could do the job without instructions but it is so much better and easier to learn what to do, and what NOT to do using the experience of others who have done the same job. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, Bruskihi

Here's my 84. No rust and everything as stock as it was when it left the dealership 37 years ago. This will replace the 88 etracab that I bought and started fixing up before I found this beauty.
I checked out Zuk website. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much!!!

That is a sweet 84.....I had a red 84 years ago and it saw trails all over the southwest. A Spartan in the front is the best economical choice of "auto-lockers".....it is the strongest of the 3 popular lunchbox style lockers.....Aussie is a close 2nd.
Consider getting RCV axles to make it bulletproof.
I bet you're in Tucson

I recently moved my operation to Prescott, AZ. I love this place.
