your about as indecisive as I am, what you need to do is weight all the options you have against each other. Put price, ease of install, reliability, power output, and availability of parts into perspective along with what motor you would just want to have most make a justifiable decision don't just jump on what there is. thats my $.02

well the sc'd v6 is all stock and i think im getting the whole car in trade for my sweet 86 dodge colt that i payed 50 bucks for lol (dont ask how) but looking at the v6 it looks pretty long cause the intake comes out the back! its 240 horse stock with a huge pully on the supercharger. plus i belive its a VERY low milage car.. maybe under 50,000 miles so i know it will be reliable..

on the other hand i think i can build a 22ret to put bettween 3 and 400 horse. with forged rods and what not. but idk how reliable it will be.. and ill probly be into it 2000 by the time i have it were i want it.

soooo money wise the v6 wins by far. but ease of install on the ret wins cause all i gotta do is the motor mounts i cut out and put a trans in. v6 id probly take a 3.0 trans and a chev bell housing adapter and stuff if possible, and thats money there too. soo idk.. what do you guys think?

Nice build... Can I get some advice pickup a 87 turbo custom cab paid 500 for it the problem is that the previous owner took it all apart.. I myself never rebuild or work on a 22ret engine.. How difficult is it to work on them?? Any advice will be apreciated

im guessing your talking about the motor? to me.. they are easy, whatever you do just do it right. have the block decked, bored and checked have the head rebuilt... new valve seals, surface, grind the valves. ect. the more you replace with good parts the better. more then likely the rods are still good unless it spun a bearing. use a new oil and water pump!

As of now its sitting with no motor, axles or springs.... I almost gave up but I just destroyed my 85 runner I recently built so I might possibly be putting everything from the runner to put in the pickup. I have collected every thing for a turbo 4 again. Turbo block, head, exhaust manifold, intake, harness, computer that might be good, all that crap so who knows.. if I decide to part the runner out for it it might get done!

O ya I got a ct-26 supra turbine booster for it to! I have about five ct-20s that could be good. I'd rebuild em but if any one needs a ct-20 let me know.

alright every one (thats still watchin.) i have an option... i recently bought a 89 supra turbo for 500, has hks metal head gasket and arp studs and supposed to be rebuilt with around 30,000 miles. had a bad wire to the afm.. well i got it running great turned the boost up a little and started drivin it around. well i got "fast car happy" and raced a mustang and broke the trans (beat him tell i went to third gear and it didnt go anywhere)... well i dont think the body/car is nice enough to put a trans in so i was thinkin maybe, just maybe i should put this in the ol turbo truck that is sitting in the corner of the shop sitting on the frame? what do you guys think? i didnt wanna do a 3.4 so bad cause its a TURBO truck and i felt dumb for pulling the 22ret out in the first place.. so what do you think of a nice 7mgte swap and 10 pounds of boost? good idea or no?
