dana 44 1/2 ton front rear to toyota drive line adapter plate?

HEy I just bought a 1989 Toyota pickup ext cab 5 speed. I'm going to straight axle it with coil over. I want to know if you guys know if theirs a link or a web site I can order a adapter plate for a toyota drive line so i can make the dana 44 and 1/2 ton rear chevy axle bolt up to the toyota drive line or do i need to custom build drive lines?

You are going to have to build the front anyways and probably the rear so you might as well have them put the U -joints to match the yokes since a flange yoke would cost more. I was going to put flanges on my 44s to match the flanged Tcase and thought it would be stronger but everybody at the drive line shops told me to keep the U bolt style since it was stronger. I guess it makes sense since most of the one ton axles come with the U bolts like the D60, D70, 14 bolt etc. Definately don't use a 10 bolt rear if that is what you mean by 1/2 ton Chevy.

I would keep the stock toy rear right now, 1/2 ton's isnt going to be an upgrade, better go to 1 ton in the rear.

If it was me i would get a toy housing throw longs in it and call it done.

44 front and gm 12 bolt are a pretty common package deal, but because the 12 bolt is c-clip skip that and go dana 60 rear, those are cheap and easy to find. i do beleave polyperfomance.com has them, they used to anyways, if you can get there number talk to Dave Schlocshberg. there was a time way back when when marlincrawler.com had them for D60 rears. as for the front just find junk driveshaft for a yota and D44 and make a square tube and call it good
