Clapped Out Springs? Front Mount?

I got a chance to look at my front suspension again. I psoted up pics of the truck before. The truck had a SAS done before i got it. It was originally using factory shackles and the spring was resting on the frame rail. I made longer shackles and it pulled the springs off the rails. Now once again the springs are resting pretty much on the frame rail. The springs are 3" Trail gear. Looknig at other pics of rigs with the trail gear springs the springs have a noticable arch to them. Mine are flat. As much as I want a lower stance, i am getting tired of having to make longer shackles for every time it sags. So what is the opinion? ARe my springs pretty much clapped out and need a new set?

Also the front spring mounts seem odd. Of all the pics i have seen of SAS , the spring hole seems to be inline with the outer edge of the crossmember. Mine is centered under the front grill mount. I can cut out the existing mounts and make new ones extended out that inch. I know this is probably related to the springs bottoming out on the frame. The mount for the SAS looks to be a homebrew, i may try to shorten the spring mount a little to keep height down.

Your front hanger is just wrong so the shackle angle is terrible.

You also have no bumpstops so your springs de arch on compression thus flattening them out prematurely.

Ding ding. Exactly what I was going to say.

OP. Get new springs. Also extend the bump stops so the springs do not go into negative arch. A good rule is they are allowed to just barely go flat.

You need to get a new front spring hanger as that one is bootyfabulous. If it is offset forward as it should be your shackle angle will be good if the frame tubes are centered in the body mount.

I don't think the hanger is the problem here, although it's a secondary issue.
it looks more like the lack of bumpstops, as we all have noticed, has caused his leafs to go into a negative arch and de arch them..
