Cut your fenders and tub your firewall and fenders and you won't need nose bleed springs.

I ran 39.5s easy on my 85 with the above done.

eastside im way to tall with just trailgears 3inch springs and 2inch body. Those 9inch springs im guessing will tower over 40's i tower over my 37's. You truely do want low and wide. I have rolled trucks its not fun. Mine is build to play around not go anywhere its gonna roll. But if ur trying to build your truck as most capable as you can. Low and Wide.

Yeah I understand the therory of low and wide, but I don't do a whole lot of Rock crawling right now. mostly just going through mud and sometimes a trail or two.

with my truck way i am i have way to much body roll lol i am comfortable as hell with my truck but one idea is move your axle farther forward and you can clear bigger in the front and in the rear just make it work if your not doign crawling you dont need the clearance to flex.

So I'm walking home from the county jail one Sunday afternoon(no bus running that day). Wasn't even hitch-hiking, but a guy in a Honda Passport pulls over and offers me a ride anyway. Couldn't hardly refuse at that point(not to mention it being a ~100° day and having ~10 more miles to cover of the ~15 total). I get in and right off he offers me a cold beer. I politely refused that offer(and carefully assessed the apparent intoxication of the offerer...which seemed minimal if at all).

Then shortly after which the topic changes to the explanation of my situation(just got out of the slammer, truck's at home in the drive way, yadda yadda yadda). He says "yeah I got a Toyota PU too, an 82 with 12" of lift on 44's". I said "run that by me again...did you just say 12" of lift?". "Oh yeah, it's a badass beast!" he says. So I'm like "Why so much lift? Where do you wheel that you need that much? Mud bogging? Deep snow? Man...that's a lot of lift...don't you think?" He replies to that with, "oh pretty much just for mud and what-not...it's actually got a blown motor...bought it that way...but it's still an awesome truck dude...I'm gonna be tearing it up as soon as I put a 350 V8 in it."

So....yeah. It's a real "badass beast", really "awesome" dude. Doesn't even run...AND YOU'VE NEVER EVEN DRIVEN IT!!! I didn't say that of course...out loud. I humored him, "Yeah...that sounds pretty cool. Just be careful not to roll the thing." Seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

It's all about personal preference and what YOU want. And I want more lift and bigger tires

reset your hangers move your axle farther forward and you'll clear up front. in the rear cut the fenders the rear can still look good with cut fenders.

Plenty of people prefer things that are bad ideas.
