OME springs for a 84-85 4runner I got the heavy and added there helper spring to cope with the weight of the V6 and bumper winch combo. Also installed there greasable shackles (way better quality over the TG) that measure 3.5" eye to eye.

Just installed it last weekend and have not driven it yet. Ride height looks about the same as the 3" TG springs with the two lower leafs removed and running the 5" TG shackles. But I have not driven it yet and the springs are still brand new they should settle in an inch or so. if need be I can pull out the OME HD spring and see if that lowered it a bit too, for now I want to ses what a few thousand KMs do with the springs.

In the rear I have pulled out the blocks and am looking at making a custom pack to support the truck a bit better. I am going to leave it alone though till I get the rear bumper done and some weight back there.

All I need to finish the front is some 10" bilstines when they are off BO, for now I have some 10" BDS shocks. I also need to get the bump stops on.

Nothing yet been busting ass trying to get it done for this years Oregon coast trip. I leave on Friday and still have a massive list of things I need to get done before Thursday night.

When I get back I will have some pics and thoughts on the setup.

For now its on the road and I drive it every day trying to get the break in millage on the rear gears. As well as getting all the other stuff done in time for the trip.

Well after a 2000kms trip on the new springs and ride height I'm ecstatic in the way it looks and drives. It still flexes great too.

Still need to finish the bump stops in the front and do a few little things but its awesome to have it back on the road.

The setup is OME heavy front springs (83-85 4runner) with the added OME leaf for the weight of the V6 and bumper/winch, OME 3.5" shackles, 10" Bilstine shocks and the rest is the left overs of my 3" TG SAS swap kit.

In the rear I have 3/4 ton 4x4 63" Chevy springs with an Ad a leaf, 8" hole to hole shackles and 12" bilstine shocks.

I have mud flaps, I got that rear bumper done the night before we left on that trip at 1am. At that point mudflaps could wait with a 9hour driving coming up the next day and 4 hours of sleep ahead of me.

I still have a bunch of small things to do, mud flaps being one of them.

Thanks guys! Since the SFA swap is done I do not know if I will be posting much more in here. I still have a bunch to do to the truck but other than front bump stops that's about it on SAS.

Good looking runner by the way.

I never had the truck on the dunes with the IFS, and when I'm on the sand I do not go much more than 35MPH, on the dunes its more like 10-15mph most times.

If you do a lot of sand or any jumping I would stay IFS and get a TC long travel or similar.

After all was said and done the TC long travel would have been cheaper and performed better for what I enjoy going (longer overland style trips). But at the time I had an idea of what I wanted and the grass is always greener on the other side. Having said that though I have now got the truck set up quite well and its comfortable works well and still flexes if needed.
