most definitely dude. so when is everybody rolling into SLO? i think i'll be heading out Saturday around noon. no camping for me since i live so close... if everyone os going to be there early enough tomorrow i might even go out then. just let me know.

 

Well the plan is toleave friday around noon, which will be 2, lol...

 

I still need to notch my gastank before I head out...

lots of cruisers out there... i saw anthony's, yelosub's, jrunner's, and lance's rigs out there. i made it out there around 3:30 or so... anyone else show up?

 

yep, I madeit out Sat. around 9am, wheeled the dunes a bit, did the poker run, and started an imprompto dune jumping show. It was pretty fun until Seth mangled his front end after doing his imitation of a missle launch. The guys from 4wdtoyotaowner mag were there taking pics of us and handing out copies of the mag.

I was packed and ready to leave when the nine year old son decided to go to the bathroom quickly. After 5mins in the truck waiting, wife went to see what was up. He was....throwing up! We hoped he'd be better on Sat afternoon but no go. So we hoped for Sun am but he was still looking real peaky. Bummer!!

After landing I heard a hissing noise and found out it was my bent rim letting air out. With some help of some buddies I got the rim out and banged the lip of the rim back to its normal shape and I was good.

yeah, that was a pretty brutal landing.... I saw the whole thing. Luckily my truck suffered no damage and all it needs is a wash to get all the sand out of it.

 

Ya it was an awsome trip... we had major damage from jumping though (dumn thing to do) I only dented my shocks so not too bad, but we had a cherokee who bent his axle, and fj40 broke a shock mount and bent his sterring arms, one who brought out his brand new 05' Taco and dropped the radiator... it was pretty much one of the better trips I have been on in a while... I will have pics up soon, my buddy took most of them so I will get em upo soon...
