I'm going to be going up Loch Lomond this afternoon. Tomorrow morning I'm taking the Camry to Taylor Reservoir for some fishing. I was thinking walking up Taylor Pass a ways to see how much snow is left at the pass.

I'll have pictures and a report Monday morning.

Went up Loch Lomond on Saturday. Unfortunately, there is still about 3-4 feet of snow on the trail about 1 mile before the lake. With temperatures the way they have been, though, it should be melted in just a couple weeks.

I stayed out too late Saturday night and slept in too late on Sunday. So I didn't make it to Taylor Res. Maybe next weekend, though.

John, thanks for the link, I've never seen that one before.

Quick update on Jenny Creek. It will stay open for now. However Boulder County is NOT going to plow Rollins Pass Road this year, so by the time Rollins Pass is melted out the run off should have subsided. If any one is heading up there in the next few weeks PLEASE do not make bypasses around any remaining drifts on Rollins Pass road. Doing so will only cause the FS to install an seasonal closing gate on the road (further complicating access issues).

The 2 main concerns on Jenny Creek are the water crossing and the mud pit that has formed at the Yankee Doodle Lake end of the trail. So when it dose open PLEASE Tread Lightly! Remember we are under the microscope.

Thanks, Jake.

Yeah, I just found that site (from colorado4x4.com) - could be a good resource if we all contribute our knowledge of trails we visit. I'm surprised Bill Moore Lake is open already - wouldn't mind hitting that trail in the next few weeks.

John

EDIT- well - I not sure the info on that site isn't 100% reliable - Bill Moore lake discussion here...
