Bird, sounds like a good time but who knows what a few weeks the conditions will be.

Exactly, the conditions up there would be pretty bad, infact it might not even be accessible as it is...

any other ideas guys?

There's always lower elevation and I always like to pack sleds and tubes well cause that's usually a good fail safe of something to do

this may be one of those bring your kids to play days. If i can i'll bring my grill again and run the grills maybe a heater if i can find mine. Maybe even bring my dog. She's 9 and I have to lift her in and out of the truck.

Snow runs are awesome fun if the snow is new-ish. Get into old snow and it's a nightmare.

I've always been able to have lots of fun up Cap Forest during the winter. The peak only gets at most 3ft of snow... but its variable, it comes and goes throughout the winter, conditions get progressively much much worse towards the beginning of spring.

You guys are bastards!! It would be fun to go with you guys, since I am not a "wheeler" Then you can just tow me around bc my tires suck and I will get stuck early.

Ultimately it doesn't matter where we go, as long as WE GO.

I'm sure that we have enough recovery equipment to make a daisy chain from here to Oregon.

BluePile, I would be down for twin lakes. I doubt we could make it, but it would be fun trying. I can go after the first weekend in January.

Biker-yeah there's a butt load of snow there. I saw some pics off NWW a couple weeks ago and they did not make the lakes.

Jason-I'm off right now till the 28th.
