I'm going to do a little exploring around the Fines Creek/Max Patch area, Sunday Sept. 16th. whether anyone joins me or not. This area is about 45min.-1hr. away from the Asheville area. A little discussion and a couple of lame photos on This Thread. I don't think, and I hope, that there isn't anything to extreme, I'm completely stock and have crap for tires. So just a little fun run to see what all is up there.

misterzee, apologies I missed your post. I never got any reply to my e-mail. I never set a time or place since I didn't know if I'd have any company. I am going, and if you see this by the early morning (I'll probably check in around 5:30am-ish), let me know where/when would be good for you. I'm mainly going to check out Wesley Creek Rd. and where it ends up, but if I've got someone else along I wouldn't mind doing some other exploring too.

 

Due to emergency house cleaning (i.e. I got shut down by the wife ), I didn't go. So, I'm going to try again next weekend. This time I know to check for responses, so misterzee, and/or whomever else, we can arrange a meeting point and time.

 

Mid-week . I'm leaving my house at 7:30-8:00am. I'm mainly going to check out what Wesley Creek Rd. does and hopefully be home early afternoon, but if I get someone to go along I might do some other exploring as well.

 

Even by myself, I had a great time. Ended up doing the Hurricane Creek trail. Posted a little report and pics up Here.
