[WA] Mt. Gardner exploration
#42
Guys, I'm out. Really wanted to do this but I also want to do the run this Sat. and both trucks need work. If I use tonight to wrench I can probably get enough done on the new truck to bring it on Saturday. That way David and I can debut our new Toys on the same day, provided he doesn't drive the LC tonight. A couple more weeks and I'll be settled in and unpacked up here and I can become a regular on the week night runs. Have fun.

Bummer Greg. No, won't be taking the LC tonight, and its pretty iffy that it'll make it out of the garage by Sat. Been looking at new crate 350's, fuel injection, and an auto tranny, so it'll be out of commission for a while...

Saturday I'm heading back up to Mt. Gardner with JRUZ, Greg, and any of you guys that want to come. The Sat. run was set up a couple of weeks ago before we starting talking about doing midweek runs up there. The idea for Sat. will be do more exploring on spurs we haven't seen yet. With larger groups its too akward trying out new trails and trying to get 8 vehicles turned around on the trail.
Mike,
I've decided to do it right the first time, and resigned myself to not driving the LC for a while. After I watched the most recent "Top Truck Challenge" video and noticed that almost every single one of the rigs had an auto tranny, it was all the convincing I needed to go that route. I'm getting closer to just paying a shop to do it, since its such a huge project. I'd need a much bigger garage than what I have to work in right now to be able to pull the engine out.

7:00 as usual i assume, but we wanna get on the trails by 7, so get there closer to 6:30 if possible. i think the exit # is 38, but im not possitive, but aren't we meeting near the other exit since its closer to the trail? so that would be #39 ?
i'll let david clear up those exit # questions. its the exit before tinkham though.

Remember the last time we did this last summer we aired down in a spot close to the highway, then ending up driving a couple miles down to the actual turn off for the trail. Lets plan on meeting at the trail turn off, not at the spot near the highway.

Just for you man.
