Burch Mntn. in Central Wash. with PICS

Finally got a day off & hit the trails today. I went up to Burch Mountain here in Central Washington. I went alone so I played lightly today. I still went on all the big kid trails but had fun. I am pretty new to wheeling still so today was also a test. It was a test for my Detroit auto locker I had installed months ago by MikeT223. I have taken Blue up wheeling before but never given the locker a fair try at showing me what it can do due to not dropping my PSI down low enough. Today though I dropped my 35" TXR's down to 15 psi and I was so impressed. I went on trails & obstacles that have in the past given me hell but made it though them today without even loosing tire traction. It has rained the past few days here but today it was just cloudy. The ground was a dry damp feeling making for perfect wheelin. Here are a few pics.

Ben
I hit this portion of the trail and it lifted the front tire so high I just had to take some pics. The Passenger rear tire was barely touching. It was a teetering spot of sorts.

This is the trail I call the Tank Trap. More of an IFS trap & Jeep breaker. I have gotten stuck so many times in the past trying to make it through this part. It is 20 times worse in the mud & snow. But the locker & correct tire psi let me kick its a$$. The parts that make is so hard is where the holes are. They are roughly two feet deep and swallow my 35s like they are nothing.

This part of the run really pissed me off. Last year I was told by other wheelers that the famous Two Tree lookout was vandalized. I had not been up there since before then and both tree were standing tall. This portion of the trail is famous because it is the first two tree you come to that stand on a lookout point. Well it has become a party spot I guess. Look. One tree has been blasted by gun fire and knocked over and the other has the lower limbs busted off. This makes me sick.

Boonies, that my back yard. Oh wait I live in an apartment, well its a 5-10 minute drive there. We should go camp up in the Icicle Creek area this summer. We could get bittem by West Nile Virus Mosquitos, eaten by cougers, and mauled by bears. Sounds fun huh. Couch, I aint got no stinkin couch. Ben
